The diocese's Faith Formation Office recognized 11 students on June 3 for completing Little Rock Theology Institute's three-year program in theology.
Five of these are set to earn their bachelor’s degree in theology through St. Gregory's University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. They are: Justin Coussoule, of St. Joseph Church in Fayetteville; Mary Jo Honeycutt, of Christ the King Church in Fort Smith; Deacon Steve Mallett, of Sacred Heart Church in Morrilton; Sean Rommel of Sacred Heart Church in Texarkana, Texas; and David Rouch of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Magnolia.
The other six students received certificates of completion through the diocese. They are: Alma Fuentes of St. Edward Church in Little Rock; Nancy Hamilton of Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock; Randy Johnson of St. Theresa Church in Little Rock; Mary Leath of St. Joseph Church in Conway; Linda Nichols of St. Joseph Church in Fayetteville; and Charlotte Petrick of St. John Church in Russellville.
Little Rock Theology Institute is an academic program for adults wishing to learn more about the Catholic faith. Students may attend for personal enrichment, catechist certification or to earn a bachelor's degree in theology. Open registration is held from May 1 to Aug. 15.
