New workshop for Catholic communicators

The Diocese of Little Rock Media Missionaries Communications Day will be held Thursday, Oct. 11 at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock for Catholic communicators in parishes, schools and religious orders across Arkansas.

This new event is sponsored by Arkansas Catholic and the Catholic Schools Office. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include workshops, lunch and Mass.

Workshops will focus on: how to snap better photos with your phone; website best practices; why you need social media videos; how to expand Spanish content; improved communications in parishes and schools; social media for beginners; and boosting your Facebook reach (for intermediate and advanced users). Speakers will include diocesan, school and parish employees as well as local experts in communication and photography. 

The cost is $15 per person, which includes all materials and lunch. Overnight lodging is available for an additional fee. Register online by Oct. 5. Advanced registration is required.
