Registration is still open for Búsqueda #53, which will be held from Friday, Nov. 1 to Sunday, Nov. 3 at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock.
The primary objective of a Búsqueda (Search) retreat is to awaken in Spanish-speaking youth (ages 14-17) the desire to be messengers of the Good News of Christ to others. It is a method used by other movements in the Catholic Church to guide young people to a mature, Christian human growth. Participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge of themselves and their relationships with God and others.
The weekend will include talks, videos, music, skits, prayer, small group discussion and more. To register for this event, download and return the registration form. The registration deadline is Oct. 18 and the cost is $100. This event is sponsored by the Hispanic Ministry Office. For more information, email Sister Ana Luisa Díaz Vázquez, MCP, associate director for Hispanic youth and young adult ministry, or call her at (501) 664-0340, ext. 364.
There is also an English-language Search program, which is sponsored by the Catholic Youth Ministry Office. Search weekends are held twice a year for 11th and 12th graders. For more information, contact Liz Tingquist, director of the Catholic Youth Ministry Office, at (501) 664-0340, ext. 333.
