Vocations director Msgr. Scott Friend said the scholarships represent an honor for the Diocese of Little Rock because the Knights usually give only one scholarship in each diocese.
Three Diocese of Little Rock seminarians were awarded $2,500 Father Michael J. McGivney Vocations Scholarships by the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council and can be renewed every year. Preference for the financial need scholarships is given to seminarians who are Knights or whose fathers are Knights.
Stephen Gadberry of Wynne and Stephen Hart of Little Rock are K of C members while William Burmester of Conway is the son of a member. Vocations director Msgr.
