The Office of Vocations and Seminarians aids in the discernment process of those who are interested in a vocation to the priesthood as well as those who have already entered a formation program. If you would like to talk with someone about becoming a priest, contact Father Jeff Hebert. Currently, the diocese has 22 seminarians, who not only come from Arkansas, but from Texas, Tennessee, Mexico and Vietnam as well. Most of these seminarians have been living in Arkansas for many years, but some are here in the United States for the first time. | Vocation Stories | House of Formation
In their own words, our seminarians describe how they have experienced God's call to discern priesthood. Read their stories. Or see the Letters from Seminary Series, FAQ about Priesthood, Steps to Priesthood or the download the 2024-25 Seminarian Poster.
God is answering our prayers. He is calling men to the priesthood and they are listening. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor has ordained 49 diocesan priests in the past 16 years. This includes eight in 2018 alone. With the increases in cost and seminarians, we need your help to form our future priests. Pray for Vocations and Seminarians
Pray the Diocesan Prayer for Vocations to help more men hear the Lord's call to priesthood. Or join the Mothers of Seminarians Prayer Watch to encourage all mothers and any interested Catholics to pray for the seminarians in the Diocese of Little Rock and their intentions every day.
The House of Formation gives seminarians and discerners a place to live and become acquainted with the four pillars of priestly formation — human, spiritual, pastoral and intellectual — as they seek the will of God for their lives. Discerners are men who have not yet become seminarians but live and study alongside seminarians in the House of Formation.
