Little Rock Theology Institute recognized nine students June 4, for completing the adult faith formation program's three-year coursework in theology.
The following students received certificates of completion: Joe Redden of St. Edward Church, Texarkana (back row from left); Nick Moseley of St. Louis Church, Camden; Michael Smith and Debbie Meiklejohn, both of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Little Rock; Dawn Ward of St. Joseph Church, Conway (front row, from left); Kathy Dust of St. Paul Church, Pocahontas; Dede O’Bar of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Booneville; Victoria Shelton of St. Edward Church, Texarkana; and Rose Harrigan of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Hot Springs Village.
Little Rock Theology Institute is an academic program for adults wishing to learn more about the Catholic faith. Students may attend for personal enrichment, catechist certification or to earn a bachelor's degree in theology. Learn more about earning a bachelor's degree. The institute is a ministry of the diocesan Faith Formation Office.
The classes, which are offered monthly from September to June, are taught by diocesan staff and professors from various Catholic colleges and universities in the United States and Canada.
Participants meet on Fridays from 7-10 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock. Open registration is held from May 1 to Aug. 15. You may register online or download the registration form in PDF format and mail it to the Faith Formation Office.
