Deacons to recommit their service in 2024

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will celebrate deacon recommitment Masses in two regions of the state this summer. All permanent deacons and their wives are expected to attend one of the following Masses:
Sunday, July 7 — Morris Hall Chapel, St. John Catholic Center, Little Rock, 11 a.m.- Saturday, Sept. 7 — Holy Angels Convent, Jonesboro, 3:30 p.m.
A third Mass was scheduled for June 2 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers, but it was canceled because of tornado damage in the city.
During the Mass, deacons renew their commitment to diaconal service. A reception follows the Masses, which are held annually. Deacons and their wives are also invited to attend their annual retreat July 26-28 at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock. These events are hosted by the diocesan Minister to Deacons Office.
