The 70th annual Diocese of Little Rock Catholic Youth Convention is scheduled for April 8-10 at Robinson Center and the DoubleTree Hotel in Little Rock. This event was canceled in 2020 and 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so high school youth have not gathered for this event since April 2019.
This year's keynote presentation will be provided by Jackie Francois Angel and other special guests. She is a Catholic speaker, vlogger, worship leader and author. She and her husband, Bobby Angel have four children and they live in Texas.
This year's theme is: "Strengthen Each Other." The conference is open to high school youth in grades 9-12. The cost is $125 plus hotel fee per person. Scholarships are available upon request. Register though your parish by March 16. Parish youth leaders may register their youth by downloading and returning the registration packet with fee to the address provided.
In addition to the featured speakers, the conference will include skits, praise and worship music, prayer, workshops, small group discussion, sacrament of reconciliation, Mass, a dinner banquet and dance.
This event is planned and led by the diocesan Youth Advisory and Adult Advisory councils. The Catholic Youth Convention is sponsored by the diocesan Catholic Youth Ministry Office. For more information, see the registration packet or contact Tricia Gentry at (501) 664-0340, ext. 418.
