Opening of the Jubilee Year 2025 in the Diocese of Little Rock

This event will begin at 2:30 p.m. outside St. Edward Church in Little Rock for the rite of the opening of the holy door. A procession to the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock will follow the rite. (It will not include the Blessed Sacrament.) Bilingual Mass will begin about 3:15 p.m. with the rite of opening the holy door outside the Cathedral. During the Mass, an apostolic blessing will be given to all in attendance. Refreshments will be served after Mass in McDonald Hall.

The Catholic Church worldwide will celebrate the Jubilee Year 2025 from Dec. 24, 2024 to Jan. 6, 2026. The theme will be "Pilgrims of Hope." Pope Francis begins the jubilee with a special rite to open the holy door of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome.
