The St. Thomas More Society of Arkansas and the Pulaski County Bar Association are hosting an Interfaith Prayer Breakfast titled “Pour Out to the God of Hope and Be Filled,” from 8 to 9 a.m., Thursday, May 4 in McDonald Hall at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. The prayer breakfast coincides with the 74th annual National Day of Prayer that is being held nationwide on the same day. Everyone is welcome and a special invitation is being extended to attorneys, judges, law professors, law students, paralegals and others in the legal profession who will be celebrating their annual Law Week, plus governmental leaders and public servants.
Speakers will be Bishop Anthony B. Taylor, Rabbi Mark Biller of the Congregation Agudath Achim in Little Rock, Rev. Glenn Hersey of St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Imam Mohammed Nawaz of the Madina Institute and Mosque in Little Rock and Rev. Susan Sims Smith of the Interfaith Center in Little Rock. The cost is $20 per person. Proceeds benefit Helping Hand of Little Rock and the Little Rock Compassion Center Food Pantry. Register online. Reservations for breakfast are required by April 29.
