For the first time, the Respect Life Office will offer respect life grants to help support groups and organizations in the Diocese of Little Rock that promote a consistent ethic of life. Grants between $100 and $1,000 will be awarded at the discretion of Bishop Anthony B. Taylor and are dependent on the availability of funds. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will ordain eight men to the priesthood in May and June. This is the largest ordination class for the Diocese of Little Rock in more than 60 years. The first ordination will be celebrated Saturday, May 26 for the following seminarians: Deacons Tuyen Do; Patrick Friend; Jeff Hebert; and Keith Higginbotham. The diocesan Hispanic Ministry Office will sponsor its Encuentros de Promoción Juvenil # 27 (Encounters of Youth Promotion) weekend for single, young men ages 18-27 at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock on June 7-10.
