Deepen your friendship with the Lord in sacred stillness and quiet through the annual Diocese of Little Rock Ignatian Silent Directed Retreat March 17-20 at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock. This Lenten faith formation program for adults will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday and end on Sunday at noon in Fletcher Hall. The Diocese of Little Rock Confirmation Retreat returns in 2022 after being canceled in 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be held Sunday, Feb. 27 at St. John Catholic Center in Little Rock. It was originally scheduled for Feb. 6 but had to be rescheduled because of winter weather. This peer-led event is open to Catholic youth who are preparing to receive the sacrament of confirmation during the school year and are unable to attend a confirmation retreat in their own parishes. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops partners with other organizations to promote National Marriage Week each year to help build "a culture of life and love that begins with supporting and promoting marriage and the family." It is always held Feb. 7-14. The 2022 theme is: “Called to the Joy of Love.” World Marriage Day, held on the second Sunday of February, is part of this observance. This year, it falls on Feb. 13. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor announced the following pastoral appointment, Feb. 2, 2022, for the Diocese of Little Rock. Effective Feb. 6: Rev. Polycarp Ssebbowa, suspended from the office of pastor of St. James Church in Searcy and St. Richard Church in Bald Knob, because of a delay in his immigration case. He will be residing at Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock. Priests from Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock will provide Mass coverage for St. James Church in Searcy and St. Richard Church in Bald Knob. ... More

Chandra Kodavatikanti, relieved of his responsibilities as administrator of St. John the Evangelist Church in Huntsville and associate pastor of St. Joseph Church in Fayetteville to return to India due to a delay in the renewal of his visa; Rev.
